The Whitby Yacht Club Sailing School has been teaching members of the Durham community how to sail for over 40 years. Every year more people discover the fun, challenge, and excitement that is sailing! Operating as a non-for profit, our primary goal is to introduce the activity of sailing in a safe and effective learning environment!
Youth Summer Camps
WYC offers a fun, exciting and safe summer camp with certified instructors that enjoy sharing their knowledge of sailing. Over the past 50 years, we have been the training centre for many youth that have gone on to compete in the Olympics and have sailed the world. The life long joy of sailing begins with only one summer!

Who says that kids get to have all the fun? With Adult programs ranging from first encounters with sailing to specialty training for even the most experienced sailors, WYC is sure to have something perfect for anyone at every stage! Accompanied with this is our specialty recreational paddleboarding programs, family dinghy sailing, and evening date night packages!
